The Assembly Bill (AB) 12, also known as the California Fostering
Connections to Success Act, was signed into law on September 30th, 2010
and became effective on January 1st, 2012. This bill allows eligible 18
year olds in foster care to stay in foster care up until the age of 21.
KYJO Enterprises is now offering extended foster care services to assist and prepare youth in achieving a successful transition into adulthood. Youth will be able to continue to build on self-sufficiency with opportunities such as education and employment training. This transitional living is to maintain a safety net of support for youth who are eligible so that they can have the opportunity to experience independence in a secure and supervised living environment.
