KYJO's BBQ Cook-Off just keeps getting better and better. This year's BBQ Cook-Off fundraiser for KYJO Foster Family Agency exceeded last year's and we hope to do that every year. Below are this year's results.

Celebrity Bowling Challenge Details:
Meet and bowl with special celebrity guests, NFL, and Division I football players at AMF Sierra Lanes in Fresno! Bowl with NFL players such as: Rob Golden, Lorenzo Neal, Michael Pittman, Phillip Thomas, Paul Williams, Billy Volek, Isaiah Green, Tyler Clutts, Isaiah Burse, Cameron Worrell, Garrett McIntyre, Marcel Jensen, Marlon Moore, and many more! The players and celebrities will rotate lanes and help you win a few frames! There will also be a raffle with an opportunity to win great prizes such as: gift cards to TGIF & Yardhouse, a pair of tickets to Disneyland, and sports memorabilia to name a few.

KYJO is a nonprofit youth organization dedicated to providing opportunities for a better way of life. All proceeds benefit KYJO Cares events such as the FREE BIG B.A.N.G. WEEKEND Football Clinic at Bulldog Stadium, mentoring, education, mental health services, and resident travel to statewide activities like; visiting historical landmarks, museums, amusement parks, camping, deep sea fishing...and many more!

The Believe and Achieve Free Football Clinic:
FREE football clinic for up to 500 students, 4th through 8th grade. The clinic provides an opportunity for children who may not be able to afford it, to not only meet, but be mentored by top NFL and Division I football players and practice on an actual Division I college field that many may have only seen on television. They will learn skills they can use on and off the field.

Online registration is now closed for the free football clinic. If you have already not done so, please turn in a minor waiver form on Saturday, July 12th at 8:00 AM during check-in on the south side of Bulldog Stadium. We suggest that all minors who will be participating to wear a workout attire and a water bottle. Parents who will be spectating that day should bring plenty of shade and water. See you Saturday!

The Weekend Kicks-Off with our…
Celebrity Bowling Challenge:
July 12th from 5:30pm-8:30pm

Want to bowl with a NFL player? Ever want to hang out with a celebrity? The Celebrity Bowling Challenge is your chance to bowl with players and celebrities who will rotate bowling lanes and help you win a few frames! This special event is taking place at AMF Sierra Lanes in Fresno. To REGISTER, call our office today at (559) 243-7002. If lanes are available the day of event, you can also register in-person at 5:30pm on July 12th.
Bowling starts at 6:30pm.

Registration fees are $30 per bowler and $20 for kids 12 and younger! The registration fee includes: shoe rental, two games of bowling, food, AND an event T-Shirt! Just want to watch and not participate, $5 will get you a spectator’s pass to enjoy the action.

Then later that night…
Casino Night:
July 12th 9pm-until

Special invitation-only event for sponsors (sponsorships as low as $250), celebrities and athletes. This event will take place at the Clovis Veterans Memorial Hall from 9pm- until? Enjoy casino themed games, a silent auction, good food, drinks and dancing, all while mingling with our celebrity guests.

Believe and Achieve Free Football Clinic:
July 13th from 9am-12pm

Calling all kids in 4th-8th grade! Come learn football moves from an NFL pro, in Fresno State’s own Bulldog Stadium. Free lunch and event T-Shirts will be provided for all participants. Here is your chance of a lifetime opportunity. Stand on the same field where over 40,000 cheering fans have packed the stands to watch our Bulldogs defeat countless opponents! Be a part of history as you play on the same field as Billy Volek, Michael Pittman, Phillip Thomas, Robbie Rouse, Chris Carter, Derrick Ward, Alan Harper, Cameron Worrell, Garett McIntyre, Lorenzo Neal, Marlon Moore, Sam Williams, and many more! These same players will pass down their football knowledge to you at our Believe and Achieve Free Football Clinic.

How Big B.A.N.G. Weekend Supports KYJO Foster Family Agency
Big B.A.N.G. Weekend stands for, “Building A New Generation.” Though the weekend’s events will be chock-full of fun and entertainment, the main purpose for this weekend is to raise funds for the children in KYJO Foster Family Agency.

The goal of our agency is to provide displaced children with a longstanding, nurturing, solid foundation. A home environment where they not only feel safe, but feel cared for, loved, and valued.

At KYJO our children are our top priority. We want to instill in them that dreams are attainable and that their past does not have to be an indicator of their future. To be successful in our mission, we need your help!

With your support, KYJO will be able to provide our foster children with the opportunity to participate in extra-curricular activities. Your partnership with Big B.A.N.G. Weekend will also help to subsidize the cost for a foster family to enjoy holidays such as Thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter; it will help with the cost of birthdays. Your contribution will have a direct impact on the lives of our kids.

While planning the weekend’s activities, KYJO decided to do an event that gives back to our community. We understand that football clinic costs can get expensive. That’s why KYJO, in conjunction with WFCA, decided to put on the Believe and Achieve Free Football Clinic, hosted by Fresno’s own Rob Golden of the Pittsburgh Steelers! The clinic is designed to mentor, encourage, and uplift the youth of our community. We want all children from 4th-8th grade to be able to participate in this memorable event!

How can companies/individuals get more involved?
Through sponsorship! With your generous sponsorship of Big B.A.N.G. Weekend, we can make sure our children are given the opportunity to just be a kid. Special trips such as; Yosemite National Park, Disneyland, University Tours, deep-sea fishing, CA Academy of Sciences, Monterey Bay Aquarium and Fresno State football and basketball games can happen because of your sponsorship in KYJO’s Big B.A.N.G. Weekend. The sponsorship fund will also go toward our annual Believe & Achieve Free Football Clinic. The clinic will include lunch and event T-shirts for all 4th-8th grade children and will be held at Fresno State’s Bulldog Stadium.
A complimentary 10x10 vendor space will be given to all sponsors of Big B.A.N.G. Weekend. The vendor space will be at our Believe and Achieve Free Football Clinic. Bulldog Stadium prohibits the sale of alcohol, food or beverage.

BE A CHRISTMAS MIRACLE TO A YOUTH IN KYJO FOSTER CARE

Would you like to host a KYJO Angel Tree at your place of business? 

The KYJO Angel Trees hold “ornaments” which detail the gift a child in our care would love to receive this Christmas.
Your customers, clients, vendors and friends would be able to take an ornament and purchase the gift for a child and return it to your business.
That's it!  We would come and pick up the tree and gifts just before Christmas, wrap them and make sure these children in out-of-home care have a very Merry Christmas.
