KYJO Reshape
Comprehensive Behavioral Services (CBS)
Reshape is KYJO's latest addition to our Group Home and Foster Family Agency. and offers youth, adults, and families who need the tools and resources to cope with their situations. KYJO began Reshape in July 2014 and is directed by Susan Bechara, former founder of House of Hope and the Life Arrow Program. This project focuses on youth ages 8-25, who has a history of delinquent behaviors. Over the last 30 years the project has worked closely with the Department of Probation, the school districts, parole, and the community at large. Reshape addresses issues many young women and men go through such as substance abuse, truancy, gang involvement, and violence. Susan is a certified Gang Prevention Intervention Specialist, a certified Mental Health First Aider for adults and youth, Conflict Resolution through the Restorative Justice, a certified Domestic Violence Counselor, and a Therapeutic Behavioral Specialist. She has been appointed as a member of the Fresno County Oversight Committee for Foster Children and Family since 2006. She is also a member of the City of Fresno Mayor's Gang Initiative Cease Fire Program that addresses concerns of gang activities in the community.
Reshape CBS provides services that caters towards individuals who struggle socially and mentally, especially young men and women because that is when they are most vulnerable. Our comprehensive behavioral service contains many courses that are needed for those who are having behavior difficulty (please see below). Over the last three years, more than 500 families have participated in this program.
