KYJO Angel Tree Gift Drive

We are gearing up for our annual KYJO Angel Tree Gift Drive. Our KYJO Angel Tree Program fulfills Christmas gift wishes for the all children associated with our agency who are in the Child Welfare system.  This year the gift drive will run from November 16th through December 18th.  Several locations throughout Fresno/Clovis will be hosting KYJO Angel Trees adorned with homemade ornaments and child wish tags. This year due to the Covid-19 Pandemic we are including the option of purchasing gifts through Amazon. Each child’s wish list will be accessible via the KYJO website. In the coming weeks, look out for a list of Angel Tree locations. As well as information on how to purchase a gift via Amazon.

Employee Spotlight – Staff Anniversaries

This month, we want to acknowledge a major milestone for a handful of KYJO staff.  These special ladies have managed to accomplish something that has never been done in the history of KYJO! They have reached their 6th anniversary milestones as KYJO employees! Thank you all for your dedication to KYJO over the years. Throughout the good and bad times we have created life lessons that have fostered growth, memories and new friendships. Extract the lessons from past experiences to continue promoting your growth for the years to come. Ensuring the greatest success possible for those that we serve and yourselves. It’s time to reflect on the last 6 years of accomplishments and be proud of your efforts! We appreciate and thank you all for joining us on this journey. The best is yet to come!

Foster Family Agency

As the experience of distance learning continues in households everywhere, we would like to highlight one of our amazing foster homes and the innovative effort they have put forward to help acclimate the children in the home to distance learning. The home of Ronald Caldwell and Shatara Cole have designed individual learning centers to help their children engage in their virtual learning sessions.  Kudos to the Caldwell family!

Hello KYJO Community,

As we approach the holiday season I am thankful for the collaborative efforts of all of our staff and community partners that help execute all of exciting plans we have in the works.  Collaboration is the process of two or more people or organizations working together to complete a task or achieve a goal. Collaboration is similar to cooperation. Most collaboration requires leadership, although the form of leadership can be social within a group. Teams that work collaboratively often access greater resources, recognition, and rewards when facing competition for finite resources.

With the many mandated changes converting to a Short Term Residential Treatment Program (STRTP) and dealing with higher levels of behaviors day in and day out; to the Foster Family Agency receiving their Intensive Services Foster Care (ISFC) certification; to gathering all required documents for multiple audits; to preparation for a virtual Angel Tree drive… None of this would be possible without us, collaboratively, working as a team!

COLLABORATION is key to our future success!
